Wipro sees flat IT revenue growth in first quarter
Bangalore, April 19 (IANS) Wipro Ltd. has projected $1.6 billion revenue from its global IT services in the first quarter (April-June) of 2013-14 fiscal, which is same as posted in the fourth January-March quarter of last fiscal (2012-13), reflecting the global economic challenges faced by the Indian IT industry.
In a regulatory filing Friday, the global software major said IT services revenue for this quarter (Q1) would be in the range of $1,575 million to $1,610 million ($1.59 billion average) under the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS).
As in the case of its peers Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys from this fiscal, Wipro does not give revenue guidance for IT services on annual basis.
