Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna called on  Vice Chairman, Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia at Yojna Bhawavn on  Thursday. Later interacting with the media persons, Mr. Bahuguna said that he  had apprised Mr. Ahluwalia about various problems existing in Uttarakhand  including problems related to Hydro-power projects and had stated that the  situation was turning grim and needed serious contemplation.
Mr. Bahuguna said that as Uttarakhand came  under the category of Special   State, the budget sanctioned  for the centrally aided projects should be provided in the ratio of 90:10 to  the State. He said that there was dire need of financial aid for the  development of hill, backward and border areas so that migration of unemployed  youths could be checked.
Chief Minister Bahuguna said that Mr. Ahluwalia,  in a positive response, has assured to take possible measures to redress  problems existing in Uttarakhand. He has also assured to increase the budget  given to Uttarakhand more than that of last year.
