Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna reviewing the meeting of SC/ST Sub Plan at Secretariat on Friday expressed his discontentment on unsatisfactory expenditure of fund allocated for SC/ST Sub Plan and said that accountability of officers would be set and anyone found not taking the project seriously would be dealt accordingly.
Chief Minister Bahuguna said that he would personally review the projects time to time. He directed the officers to ensure not only cent per cent utilization of fund but also that the fund was not misused. Mr. Bahuguna instructed the officers to monitor the projects launched for the SC/ST so that they were implemented on grass-root level and ensure last person reaps benefit out of them.
Social Welfare Minister Surendra Rakesh revealed that only 35 per cent of the fund allocated under ACP in 2011-12 was spent which was not satisfactory.
Also present on the occasion were Chief Secretary Alok Kumar Jain, Principal Secretary Agriculture Om Prakash, Principal Secretary to CM Dr. SS Sandhu, Secretary Finance Radha Raturi, Secretary Transport Dr. Umakant Panwar, Secretary to CM SS Rawat amongst others.
