Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna on Sunday laid foundation stones of various development projects worth Rs. 35 crore during public welcome program


Dehradun, 13 May:
Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna on Sunday laid foundation stones of various development projects worth Rs. 35 crore during public welcome program at a local wedding point, Hurbertpur here on Sunday, significant being Residential building of Forest Constable Training Centre at Rampur Mandi (Rs. 495 crore), Langh-Touli-Papdiyan Road (Rs. 3.27 crore),  Bidge over Shaktinahar (Rs. 241 lakh), Road from Malulawal to Gurich (Rs. 69.17 lakh), Water Drainage Project (Rs. 463.05 lakh) at Gram Badamwala and Rasulpur, construction of water reservoir (Rs. 11.38) under Rajawala Drinking Water Project, Mini Tube well and pipeline (Rs. 40 lakh) under second phase of Jeevangarh Drinking Water Project, tar-coaling of road from Vikasnagar Nagar Palika Office to Paschimiwala (Rs. 38.24 lakh), road construction from Badwala-Juddomrg till canal at Gram Katapatthar (Rs. 47.30 lakh), Community Hall at Hurbertpur, Veterinary Hospital at Haripur, Hurbertpur (Rs. 35.25 lakh) and Rudrapur Power Sub-Station.
Besides, Chief Minister Bahuguna also approved several development projects including construction of overhead water tank at Laxmipur, Dhakrani, Kedarwala, Sayyad Marg, construction of mini tube wells with laying of  pipe lines at Hurbertpur, Saraswati Vihar, Jeevangarh and Danda Jungle, road constructions from Fatehpur-Bairgiwala- Jassowala- Khushhalpur-Jamanpur to Selaqui, construction of 3 km long road from Badripur to Madnipur Gram and reconstruction of 5 km long road at Dhakrani Gram.
Chief Minister Bahuguna, responding to the demands placed by area MLA Navprabhat also announced for ultra sound machine (Colour Doppler)  for Vikanagar Health Centre, 4 new class rooms for Langha Government Inter College, renovation of teachers' residents, building construction for Prithvipur Veterinary Hospital, bridge construction at Belawala Gram, transfer of Dakpathar Irrigation Department Hospital to Health Department, Irrigation Project for Raida Nigayi Gad-Binhar-Kandi area, water drainage project for Irrigation Department at Udiyabagh Nullah, construction of 1.2 km long Hurbertpur Paonta Saheb till Shaktinahar via Haripur and Civil Court, reconstruction of road from Yatrik Hotel at Dakpathar to Shaktinahar bridge no. 1, 3km long Bhimawala-Murgifarm-Dhakrani Road, 6 km long road at Babugarh. He sanctioned Rs. 146 lakh for extension of water drainage project at Vikasnagar and Rs. 155 lakh for Bairagiwala water drainage project. He also approved for upgradation of Government Higher Secondary School at Rudrapur Gram, construction of community hall for Boksha Tribe at Gram Badripur Mednipur, constructions of Nagar Panchayat Office, community hall, fire station and public toilet at Hurbertpur. Mr. Bahuguna also asked to set up 2 units each of Welder, Refrigerator/Air conditioning and Turner in Government Industrial Training Institute at Vikasnagar.
Mr. Bahuguna said that his relation with Vikasnagar was not a political but sentimental one. He directed the officer to ensure quality in the sanctioned development works. He asserted that general public must feel that government had changed and that was possible with listening to their grievances and resolving them at the earliest. He said that this was the reason he had taken up visiting the people personally to collect their suggestions for the budget. Describing hydro-power projects as the main sources of state revenue he said that the approved projects would be completed maintaining balance between environment and the development and also keeping in mind the sentiments of Saint Community.
The other development projects announced by Chief Minister Bahuguna included 15.5 km long road construction from Numberpur to Langha under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna road construction from Baratiwala to Tehsil Headquarter Hurbertpur, M.Sc. and MA courses at Dakpathar Government College, 8 km long road at Matogi, establishment of blood Bank at Hurbertpur Christian Hospital amongst others.
Meanwhile, in another public welcome program at Sahaspur, Chief Minister, on the demands of Congress Leader Ayendra Sharma, made announcement of development programs worth crores of rupees including setting up of ITI for students of Boksha Tribe and minorities, vocational training centre for them and a community hall for their social activities. The Chief Minister also felicitated 5 farmers for their outstanding performance with Kishan Bhushan Award. He handed over cheques of Rs. 25,000 each and Citation Letters to Suryaorakash (Crop Farming), Abdul Gaffar (Animal Husbandry), Bharat Singh (Vegetable Farming), Prem Sharma (Fruit Farming) and Gaurav Negi (Fisheries).
Mr. Bahuguna said that the state government was in favour of increasing the salary of workers even if it had to bear additional financial burden. Also present on the occasion were former MLA Sadhu Ram, Congress Leaders Deen Mohammed and MN Farookhi.
