Rudrapur/Dehradun, April 21:
Chief Minister Vijay Bhuguna today announced to cease additional fee charged during transportation of raw material and the final products to and from the factory units. He said very soon the 132 KVA Sub Station would be activated at Kashipur, while, Rudrapur and Kashipur Highways would be broadened. The state government would try to resolve all programs related to entrepreneurs, he said.
Chief Minister Bahuguna said this in a function organized by Kumaon Garhwal Chamber of Commerce at Mandi Directorate Auditorium, Rudrapur on Saturday. He said that coordination between the government and the entrepreneurs would be strengthened and they could meet him anytime with their problems. He maintained that the establishments of industries would help state to progress ahead. The Chief Minister gave patient hearing to the problems of the entrepreneurs and asked the concerned officers to provide solutions to them on the spot. Stating that Uttarakhand had industry-friendly environment he urged the industrialists to set up maximum industries here. He also advocated setting up food processing units and other units that would prove helpful in generating employment opportunities for the local people.
Parliamentary Affairs and Finance Minister Indira Hridayesh urged the industries to provide maximum employment opportunities to local people. She said that Tata Motors initiatives to adopt some ITIs and impart training to the unemployed youths was laudable. She said that other industries should also take similar initiatives as per their capacity.
Irrigation Minister Yashpal Arya said that industries played important role in the development of the state. Principal Secretary Industries Rakesh Sharma disseminated information about the various facilities provided by the State Government to industries.
President of Kumaon Garhwal Chamber of Commerce Vikas Jindal conveyed to the Chief Minister various problems faced by the industrialists. He sought special package under industrial policy and providence of central capital aid for maintenance and development of industrial infrastructures. He also informed about the problems faced by them while obtaining NOC from Pollution Control Board. President of Rice Millers Association Surajbhan Jindal urged the state government to end Mandi fee for rice imported from Uttar Pradesh. He also placed several problems of Rice Millers. The meeting was attended by Labour and Small Scale Industries Minister Harish Durgapal, Chairman of Mandi Parishad Dr. Shailendra Mohan Singhal, former Cabinet Minister Tilakraj Behad, former MLA Gopal Singh Rana, District Magistrate Brijesh Sant, SSP Pushpak Jyoti, Mandi Director PS Kutiyal, GM Industries BR Arya, JV Durgapal, President of PHD Chamber Rajiv Ghai, Ashok Bansal, Anand Rawat, SK Mittal, Ajay Tiwari, JS Khurana and Rajesh Gautam.
